I am a Senior Applied Researcher at LinkedIn. My specialties include machine learning applications and theory, search and recommendation systems, retrieval and ranking relevance, data mining, information retrieval, user intent analysis and social network analysis. I previously worked as a research scientist and software developer for Amazon and Bank of America, respectively. I care deeply about data and all the possibilities it can bring to organizations and businesses. This encouraged me to pursue and complete my MS and PhD in computer science, the latter while working full time. In this session, I will review CVs of software engineers / IT industry consultants, research scientists, machine learning scientists, and software / machine learning enthusiasts, and provide feedback on how they can improve their resume in the short-term and also come up with a plan to improve it in the long-term.
