GenpactHi! My name is Jamel, a systematic and innovative project manager. I landed my first job as a business analyst and then transitioned into project management. I have been in this industry for about 5 years. I like this job because it is very challenging, and it always keeps me on my toes.
I am now a senior project manager at Genpact. I have been with the company for almost 3 years already. My main responsibility is to lead and manage large-scale, multi-functional projects. I am also responsible for developing project plans, defining project scope, and managing project schedules. I have also gained experience in stakeholder management, change management, and risk management.
I have also served as a scrum master and product owner in my previous roles. As a scrum master, I have helped teams with their agile transition and coached them on how to be more effective in their roles. As a product owner, I have been responsible for defining the product roadmap and features.
The pleasure I get from working as a project manager is seeing my projects come to life and watching the team work together to achieve the goal. I like how a project manager can seem to be a glue that holds everything together.
After many years, I realize that I need to give back to the community and help upcoming project managers. That is why I became a mentor at SpeedyMentors. I want to help people in the same position that I was once in and help them grow into successful project managers. My passion, joy, and goal are to help aspiring individuals reach their career goals.
