I have worked in various areas such as system administration, and project management. I currently work as a project manager at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the largest IT service providers in the world.
I have been working with TCS for about 4 years now. I am responsible for managing and delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to the specified requirements. I also participate in project approvals, reviews, and gating processes. I am also responsible for preparing project status reports and presentations.
For the last 2 years, I have decided to share my knowledge and impart my skills, especially for freshers who wish to enter this field. I have been mentoring for about 2 years now, and it has given me immense satisfaction.
I am a mentor who always believes in a hands-on approach. I focus on making my student understand the concepts rather than spoon-feeding them. I also like to keep my sessions interactive. I want my students to ask as many questions as they can to clear all their doubts.
In the project management field, there is no substitute for experience. That is why it is important for a project managers to have a mentor who can guide them and help them grow.
